Benedict is Meridian's Chief Executive Officer. In that role, he serves as Global Head of Meridian Research. He has over a decade's experience in quantitative research.

Benedict founded Meridian after working to build quantitative trading research and trading systems at Ergonia. Ergonia is a sophisticated proprietary DeFi trading desk focused on liquidity provision and market trading infrastructure. He previously worked as a quantitative researcher at Cumberland, a DRW subsidiary.

For Meridian Research, he leads development of quantitative research systems. He also regularly publishes on blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi) topics like proprietary automated market makers (prop AMMs), trading activity at an asset level, trading activity via various interfaces, execution patterns, and more.

Benedict earned his B.A. in Statistics from Harvard University. He is a native of Evanston, IL.
